Under the sea...

We took Kaden to see Under the Sea 3D at the Hansen Planetarium IMAX. I wan't sure what he would think but suprisingly after we got the glasses to stay on his face by folding his ears back he was hooked. He kept grabbing at the fish swimming near him and would jump or pull away when something was startling. Watching him was almost as much fun as watching the movie. He loves fish and is obsessed with turtles after our adventures at the park and pond so this was fun for him. Checking out the museum...
Kaden on the moon. He also really loves looking at the moon and sun and reading books about space...

The museum was a little over his head but they had this display where balls move through and you turn and twist things I think he could have stayed there all day...

We ate lunch before at the DODO at the gateway if you ever eat there get the smoked BBQ turkey sandwich it was good, however you could skip the tollhouse pie...I wasn't a fan! It was a fun time...thanks grandma!

Visiting home...

I can never believe how fast visits home go by. I guess though having a funeral and moving my grandma out of her apartment made it go by quicker. Kaden was grandma and grandpa's little shadow all week. He wanted them and Ally to be wherever doing whatever he was doing. We did some fun things throughout the busy week. We went to a place in NSL called Kangaroo Zoo. It has a bunch of blow up and inflatable jump on toys. Kaden wasn't so sure what to think at first so Ally had to go with on all the slides and things. I tried as well as I could for someone 8 months pregnant. Some of those slides are not designed for pregnant ladies. I kept reading the signs that said no more than 150 pounds thinking oh I am not even close to that (forgeting I am pregnant and heavier than my pre-pregnant days) then realizing oh I might be that heavy by now!

Kaden loved this! It was a toy that blew air out of the cone and you hit it into holes on the inflatable toy. The bat was so big that even he could hit it every time.

Grandma and Kaden. He was a little nervous at first but warmed up to it and then had a lot of fun. I think next time we will have to take kids his own age...Ally and I had fun (probably more fun than Kaden) but I think that for Kaden we will have to invite friends.

Yeah for spring!!!

It has been so beautiful here...spring finally!!! Friends and I have decided we better get out and enjoy it while we can because you never know how long it will stay that way. I am suprised by how many beautiful parks there are in this city! I have never been anywhere with so many parks. This weekend we went to a park that had a cool pond Kaden and his little friends loved chasing the turtles around...they found a baby turtle that was a little bigger than a silver dollar it was cute. Afterward we went around the corner to the ice cream shop called "the scoop" for little baby ice cream cones...they were tiny and so cute and perfect for two year olds! Should have got a picture!
Anyway I thought I would post we leave for Utah tommorow (a little unexpected) but I wanted to be there for the funeral. Poor Chris we will be in Utah for a week come home for a couple days and then are off the Portland/Vancouver for two weeks. However with finals around the corner we see him if we are lucky for 45 minutes in the morning while he is getting ready! One more month of school then a little break yeah!!! Utah friends call me if you are around we miss you all and it would be fun to see everyone!

My cute grandparents...

So up until two months ago 3 of Kaden's great grandparents from my side were living. My Mom's father passed away two months ago and then her mother passed away this morning. They were married quite a long time, they met back long ago at BYU. My grandfather cared for my grandmother for many years she didn't see well so she really depended on him. I think his passing was hard on her. She fell a couple weeks ago and broke her hip for a 91 year old frail women this isn't good. They were wonderful and will be missed. They were so great when I was away at college it was a hard adjustment for me they would write every month and send money. They were always very supportive. Once when they came to Utah to visit they took all my cousins to dinner at the Brick oven, it was fun to have all the cousins at BYU get together.

hiPity HoPity, HapPy Easter!

Sorry picture overload...thought I would share our easter with everyone...
The easter bunny left lots of goodies for Kaden...
The very difficult easter egg hunt...Kaden was all set he knew what to do and found all the eggs even the hard ones!

Kaden's easter egg creations...Notice that there are not many stickers on the eggs he found better uses for the stickers!

On the hunt...he needed a few more hands he was too excited to stop and put them in the basket he would wait till he had 3 or 4 eggs and was dropping them...

I should win mother or the year award with this breakfast...

Ready for church...

Happy Easter everyone...

Egg Hunt...

Chris had as much fun if not more than Kaden during this hunt, they got lots of egg with hard carmels and tootsie rolls & the Blue ray DVD bolt...they almost had a wrestling match with another mom and two year old who were also after the DVD...
I was suprised by how quickly Kaden picked this up and was right in there after all the eggs...it was fun to watch.

Kaden and James could hardly wait for the egg hunt to begin...

Best buddies

Kaden has made new little friends! It is so cute he just loves his friends and is always asking and talking about them. Every time we get ready to go somewhere he says "Tate, Bames (which is James)?" He is always sad when we leave the park and he has to say good bye to his friends.
Yesterday we went with James to the park. Kaden and James rode the horses on the carousel. Last time I took Kaden on one of these he cried, but it was much more fun with James!

The two little buddies on their white stallions...I am grateful that Kaden has such cute little friends the added bonus is that their moms are fun and amazing and I enjoy spending time with them as much as Kaden likes his little friends!

After the ride the boys were able to play in the park have an easter egg hunt and then we all went out to lunch it was a fun afternoon...the best part about it was that dad wasn't at the library he was able to come play too!
