recent happenings...

In between studying for finals we have been out and busy. Our stake does a huge nativity which we went to and was excellent. Some friends invited us to the Seventh day adventist journey to bethlehem which was an outdoor nativity it was freezing but was one of the coolest christmas things I have done.
They took you on little tours we were of the family of David and they acted out the whole story this was a guard making us pay taxes.
These were some of the shepards at the manger they had real sheep too it was fun for kaden.

I think though that kaden liked this guy the best...kaden keeps telling me "mom the camel was looking at me I think he wanted a kiss!" It was a fun Christmas activity and I would recommend it to any of you who live close.

While visiting grandma we went to zoo light. Grandma and I took all four kids and only had one stroller opps. It was fun, a little cold but with chasing two two year olds and a four year old we stayed warm. Kaden wondered where all the animals were...the lights were fun but he thought we were going to the zoo to see the real animals.

I thought this picture turned out cool...

The lights were cool this one the giraffe bends down picks up a heart and places it on the tree.

Kaden with his cousins. He loves penguins you could kind of see them in the dark but that was about the only animal that we could really see.

Thanksgiving day...

Happy Thanksgiving day a little late. And what would you ask brought this big smile on my two year olds face...it wasn't the food although it was delicious. All night Kaden had been asking for the turkey bone I didn't know why but finally it occured to me what his little mind was thinking and I was right...of course give the bone to the dog buddy!

He was so excited to have the turkey bone go figure...

My little guy is growing. He is now eating cereal and baby foods he had sweet potatoes for thansgiving dinner. How grateful I am for my three boys!

Pure Bliss...

While I was making these and other holiday treats the other day I heard giggling and not from just one of my boys but
from both of these cute little things. Beckham was jumping in his bouncer and Kaden was jumping nearby the two were laughing at each other and not just a little laughing but on and on. Kaden can really get Beckham laughing hard it is the cutest thing ever it melts my heart.

busy October

It has been a busy busy month...lots going on. I have been trying to get out of the house more. With the cold weather coming and Chris so busy with school we have been out and about doing this and that...

Took Kaden to build a bear...he actually picked a puppy to build. It's name is barky and it is quite the new best animal friend. I had a coupon and earned a gift certificate to the mall so it cost me a dollar. Can't beat that since everytime we go to the mall he begs to go into the store. We did this on Halloween so they were also giving out matchbox cars at sears Kaden got a couple and thought he was in heaven (sounds like we are toy deprived doesn't it?),

f
We also went to the children's museum. It is a really little museum but Kaden enjoyed it and they had an exhibit from the Phillipines so Chris thought it was fun too. It has been a while since his days there and I think it brought him back a little.

What a week

This has been one of those weeks where you want to pull your hair out!! And since I am in that losing your hair after pregnancy periods I don't have much to pull out!!! But yeah I think my luck must have turned around today. After two weeks of potty training and having number 1 down better than ever but being clueless about having to poop in the potty we were SUCCESSFUL today YEAH!!! I was about ready to go back to diapers even though we had number one down because I was so sick of the newborn blowouts and the suprise undies being ditched after they were soiled. It was a funny sight me doing the sheer dance of celebration and Kaden looking confused and telling me there was a snake in the potty. I will spare everyone the pictures!
On a side note we have been looking for warm clothes for the boys. I was struggling to find a hat for beckham and decided to make one! I had ordered one from the gap but when I found yarn for 11 cents and cute buttons for 2$ I couldn't pass it up with a little help from a you tube video this is what happened...The grey hat is from th gap for $14.99, the brown one $2.11 cents handmade. I kind of feel like handmade looks a lot like a pioneer bonnett. Is it too hideous or does it work and I take back the overpriced Gap hat. I am not sure and I know Chris won't tell me the truth because he doesn't want to hurt my feelings so be honest with me too silly to put him in the brown one? It won't hurt my feelings it is my first hat EVER so I understand there is room for improvement or maybe I just fork out the money for a pattern (however at that point it costs the same as the GAP hat!). Oh what a delima?

My boys...

I have had a lot of requests for pictures of my boys and though I have been busy and not sure if I am going to blog anymore I thought I would post some recent pics. My very talented friend has been showing me how to use my camera she has a little studio in her house and since it is getting cold has been nice enough to give me tips on getting better pics of my boys. She took the pictures above (I know cute, right and it took her all of 10 minutes). Check her out if you need family pics http://www.rendytuckerphotography.com/

I also have a funny story. Halloween is coming and I was reading Halloween stories to Kaden one is about spooky and scary things. Kaden was getting dressed today and came to me holding his pants.
K: "mom spooky halloween"
M: "ok Kaden put on your pants"
K: "No mom their spooky" holding up his pants and looking down into the leg holes "mom my pants are dark in there"
So needless to say all day he has been running around in just his underwear and yeah its what 29 degrees and cold even in the house. Wierdo!

and by the way...

I was just looking at my blog so he is just over 2 months. When you compare that to the picture on the side bar it is shocking. Wow how they grow!

Rolls and rolls...

So I had thought I was going to give up on blogging but I just couldn't resist posting about my little guy. He has gotten so rolly polly and the smiles I get are to die for! Can you believe the cheeks...and chin on this guy! We sure love him!

I'm a Slacker

So I have had this announcement of Beckham's birth forever and just haven't printed and sent them out, and who knows how long long will be. I still feel like we are adjusting perhaps that could be partly due to the fact that since he was born we haven't been home for more than a 2 week time period. Anyways I thought I would post it because who knows when I will actually get them printed and mailed out...gosh I am still working on Thank you cards so it might be a long while! Does anyone even keep these things or do most people just think "oh cute" and then throw them in the trash?

Summer Ends...

Summer ends for us tommorow (sniffle sniffle). It was fun but busy which made it go by way to fast. We welcomed Beckham to the world, finished our first year of law school, Chris did more school and an internship and Kaden well he does what any two year old does play play play! We were lucky to be able to get away for a couple weeks to visit both of our families and we did a lot with them and had a lot of fun. We are grateful and so lucky to come from such wonderful families. I have been a horrible blogger this summer so here is a little highlight of what we did...

My mom, sister and I at the Temple open house

Our little family. I was impressed by how much Kaden really took in from this visit to the open house he kept telling me all week...mom going to the Temple. It is amazing at how impressionable (is that a word or did I make that up!?) they are at this age.
Visiting grandma and grandpa's beach house and playing at the Oregon coast. Kaden love to find things to swing on as seen below...He has no clothes on because he fell in a tide pool while chasing birds and not watching where he was running (suprise suprise!)

Beckham at the beach...this was the extent of his beach trip...looks exciting right!?

Here is to wishing everyday could be spent relaxing at the beach...

Playing, playing, playing...

A day at the fair. I didn't think Kaden would do the rides boy was I wrong we spent hours doing the rides. I just wanted to go because they have the best peach milk shakes in the whole wide world Kaden had a different agenda. I was sick after all the twirly and spinning rides I was glad when there was a ride they wouldn't let me go on!

Kaden would only get so close to the animals. I think this is the closest we got. He likes to look but only from a distance.

Future BYU Quarterback...

Doesn't this look like the making of the next BYU Quarterback...that's what I thought!

I think he even has the face down...

Although Beckham might be in the running also gaining a pound a week and not even six weeks and has doubled his birth weight (at this rate he may be big enough to be an offensive linebacker). You should see the rolls and dimples on this kid I want to post pictures but I am having a hard time typing with one hand let alone taking and uploading pictures one handed. Maybe if he eventually lets me put him down I will once again take pictures of him and post them.

Getting bigger...

I can't believe how fast they grow. This little guy has gained a pound a week...wow! We have had a lot of requests for more pictures of Beckham. And although it is naptime and I too should be sleeping I couldn't resist! Enjoy!

4th of July...
