Fun indoors...

So it is getting a little bit cooler outside. Too cold to go and swim but we still wanted to get out and play. We took the kids to an indoor waterpark. It was a lot of fun. It was too bad that the kids couldn't go on the big tube rides. I can't wait till Kaden is old enough. I think all the splashing water was scary to Kaden, but we still had a great time!

Happy Anniversary

Today is Chris and my third wedding anniversary. I just wanted Chris to know how much I love him and how I appreciate all that he does for our little family. He is such a loving husband and father. He really does everything he can for us and all he hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I am excited for tonight Chris got a recommendation on some of the cool places to eat here and we haven't really had a chance to get out without Kaden. Chris talked my brother Jeremy into watching Kaden so we could go o n a date. We haven't done that since we moved so I am so excited.

View from our balcony...

So lots of people have asked what it is like where we live. Our house isn't all that impressive so I haven't taken pictures I still have things to hang and unpack. However we love the area in which we live. It is beautiful so we have taken some pictures of that which Chris thought we should post. This is the view from our balcony, it is beautiful up here. We had to share the view we get to enjoy with you! Isn't it so pretty? My pictures really don't do it justice.

The duck pond...

Kaden loves the ducks we have taken him to the local duck pond a couple times. These ducks are funny they will eat the bread right out of your hands. Kaden and the twins had fun feeding the ducks. Kaden still makes me a little nervous he gets really close and I always think he might fall in.

My time saver...

Yes that is my armpit...I know this is probably the weirdest post ever! But I was just thinking the other day about how difficult it is to sometimes shower in the morning let alone put on makeup and do my hair with a toddler destroying the house, or laying in front of the bathroom door sobbing. So this past summer I worked doing laser hair removal. At first I thought why start treatments because I knew we would probably move for law school and if you don't have 5-8 treatments it doesn't get rid of the hair and why go through the pain if your not going to be totally hair free? But I decided to do this since each treatment thins the hair and destroys 10-30% of the hair follicles. I have loved it what a time saver. I had treatments done every 12 weeks, I think I only shaved once or twice during the entire summer from March to now and look at it, I can see follicles and a few hairs but still looks pretty good (I know I could use some lotion!). When Chris is done with school I have considered buying a laser and just doing it part time on family and friends as a second income, I don't know though I am not sure if I am the only one who loves being hair free I guess we will see what happens when that day comes. I may find that I need the extra time to keep our little toddlers from destroying our home...I don't know we'll see!?
So I have done most of my whole body but my head. I was telling Chris last night that I had a few fine hairs on my first digit of my finger that I would bite on when my finger itched or if I was stressed and it is weird when I go to do that and there is not hair (I know gross probably too much information, but don't we all do weird quarky things!!?)

Family Day...

So far I have been really impressed with the law school and how much they try to include and do activities with the families. They have had 3 BBQ's and one Picnic in the first two weeks. The did their first annual family day picnic which was fun. It was totally for the families and little kids. They had a blow up jump toy and games, popsicles a popcorn machine and PB&J's (other food of course for the adults). We had a good time.

Kaden thinks he is one of the big kids. So like the hat? I have wanted forever for Kaden to wear a hat I think they are so cute on little boys. He would never keep them on. Well the twins left them at our house. We had this in the car to return and he started saying hat and trying to put it on his head. When I tried to take it from him he would cry and cry. He has worn this most of the day. I guess he likes hats and we are going to have to find him the perfect hat.
Dad taught Kaden T-ball by the end of the picnic he was really getting it, he could hit the ball off of the T. Not very far but it was cute since the T was taller than he was. He wasn't sure what he thought of the bouncer toy...there were a lot of big kids in it however usually he loves being one of the big kids!

PIG OUT in the park

So we went to my kind of event last night it is called pig out in the park. This is a huge event and tons of people go and just pig out all night long. They have over 40 different vendors and lots of food and music, blow up toys for the kids and lots of fun. They have all different types of food from Thai to indian, to burgers, pizza, gyros you name it. We did the thai food which I absolutely love and of course chicken nuggets and corn on the cob for Kaden. I couldn't believe though what they had to eat...there was a thing of fries that was literally the entire batch that went down in the grease and they serve it in a huge brick and you just pull the fries off one by one this could have easily fed 6 hungry men, they also had chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick!!! YUM! I didn't try it because by the time I was hungry again I didn't want to do the walk or deal with the crowds of people or lines.

So this is one of the many cool things about this park. It is a huge little red wagon. Kids can climb up into the wagon and the handle is a slide. There are always tons of kids & Moms and they just run up and down over and over. It really is a lot of fun. Kaden loves to climb up the big steps which makes me nervous.
Kade and Kaden sliding on the slide. Kade has a twin brother the three of them would slide down together it was pretty cute!
The scary steps...
