No wardrobe malfunction...

Kaden loved coloring easter eggs! We were worried about what a mess it would make so put him in his diaper which I was grateful for because it was a little messy he however had different things in mind than putting the stickers on the eggs he was more interested in putting them on himself and us. Kaden putting stickers on himself...Just in case of a wardrobe malfunction...
Our big helper he was wanting to do it all by himself just like everything else. It was hard to contain him and help him. He loved doing this after we were done all night he kept asking eggs? Eggs?

I love the face in this picture. It is the ooohhh face. Dyeing eggs was so much more fun with Kaden helping (rather running the show)!

Eat eat eat...

Spring is finally here! At least for a couple days. It was fun in between sessions to get out and enjoy the sun. I felt like every picture I caught of Kaden he was eating...
Probably because thats all we did ALL weekend. My OB is not going to be happy with me he is strict about only gaining a pound a week (may have overdone that slightly in the past two days!!!)

I love conference weekend. We went to the park with friends... Had friends over for dinner...saw Chris for more than a half hour of the day it was wonderful! We missed being with family at conference time but feel so grateful to have such great friends that we have met this past year. Is it only me or does conference weekend feel like another holiday weekend that we add to the calender?

Birthday celebration

I was in charge of the Relief Society enrichment activity in my ward. It was a lot of work but I think it went really well and we had a good time. I did a purse theme...made little purse invitations everyone to Home, family and "purse"onal enrichment. I found cute little purse bags to decorate with and a poem that talked about purses being like friends we had dinner and a service auction. It is nice to be done with and onto the next project, but it was fun! Here are some of the pics from the night of the event...

Surprisingly good...

I always feel like I am trying to find better snack options for Kaden. He absolutely will not touch any leafy green vegetable, which is hard because I know how important they are. Well the other day a friend of mine suggested to try a spinach shake. I thought yuck!!! Well I had a lot of spinach in my fridge that was going to go bad so I gave it a whirl and to my surprise Kaden love love loved it he kept asking for more and I didn't think it was half bad either. If you make this though you need a heavy duty bib or old shirt if you are feeding it to a toddler.

1 cup frozen berries
1 frozen banana
fill the blender with spinach (I used about 2-3 cups)
And a little whole milk (my friend said you have to use whole milk or it isn't good.) I just used enough to get it to blend well.

Yum yum, seriously try it you will be surprised and it is a tricky way to get your toddlers to eat their greens. I didn't take a picture but it comes out a pretty purple color!!!

Ever done this...

So I thought this only happened on TV or the movies. Nope this is a very busy mom who obviously has too much going on in the day to really worry about laundry. Ok so really I didn't check my whites very thoroughly and I don't think Chris wants to wear pink underwear and socks. Any suggestions. I have tried running bleach through, and this shirt is after the bleach and being washed like three times. OPPS!!!

MONIES!!!

We took Kaden to chuckee cheese this past week and it was surprisingly really fun! At first he would just run from ride to ride, but learned very quickly that with money they move. He would run back and forth asking for monies (oh too early that begins!). I think he had more fun putting the money in the rides than actually riding the rides.
This is my big kid...he is going to kill me for posting this picture, but this is so Chris. This is what I love about him he gets as excited as Kaden and find all sorts of little things absolutely thrilling!

I love also that whenever Kaden sees me pull out my camera he says cheese without me even saying anything...funny what and how they learn!
We still have half a bucket left of coins (monies!!!). Looks like we will be visiting you again chukee!!!

Mr. Independant

We took Kaden to the Children's museum. I was surprised at how much fun Chris and I had! There was much more to see than I thought and the exhibits were so fun. We had to rush Kaden through a lot of it...so I guess that means we will have to go back again, right?
Playing at the water works exhibit...next time I will give him a drink before he just wanted to suck the water off all the toys and drink it when he got the chance...YUCK!
Playing with the trains on the enormous track...

Digging in the rubber dirt and filling the tractors and truck...this exhibit or the water was our favorite!

Family photo...

Exploring the sea life and fossils in the kids play area...

Bob the builder exhibit. Kaden fixed the plumbing to the sink behind us with his handy tools and hard hat...

Ordering his lunch at the kids play cafe like a big person...he also got to cook on the fake but very real stove he thought that was cool. Cooking, grocery shopping and cleaning like mommy does is exciting...right?

Doesn't the cheese lettuce egg watermelon concoction that the little girl made him look tasty?

Shopping and purchasing his own groceries. It was funny to watch him like he knew exactly how it was done. And the little cart, shelves, groceries and small cash registers were so cute!
