Tagged

Well Alyssa tagged me and I am supposed to write six quarky things about myself and pass this along to other friends. I know I am quarky but it has been a challenge to think of six things...I will give this my best attempt thought.

1-I have to have my closet color coordinated. I do this by first the tanks/camis, then the short sleeves, then the long sleeves and then the jackets it drives me crazy if things are put away and they do not get in the right color section.

2- I absolutely can not stand having wet hair on the back of my neck it drives me crazy, especially if it has chlorine or salt in it. I try not to get my hair wet in the pool, but even if I have just gotten out of a lake or shower I have to immediately put it up in a towel or but a towel around my shoulders. It makes me all grossed out even thinking about it right now augh!

3- I hoard gift cards. Most people when they get a gift card are excited to go use it, not me I guess I am excited to put it in a stash and save if for a rainy day. I save them so long that sometimes they expire or I end up having crazy balances at some places. I did get on gift card from a friend once that I couldn't wait to use that was my pregnancy massage from Tatia (which by the way was the most wonderful gift I would encourage any pregnant bloggers out there to treat themselves to one it was fabulous!!!)

4-Like Alyssa I return about 90% of the things that I buy. I have to get it home try it on with different outfits wear it around the house make sure if I like the fit and if it's comfortable. Items usually sit in my closet for quite some time before I decide. This is why I love to shop at Nordies they will return anything no matter how long it has sat in my closet.

5-I am a huge creature of habit and I have to have a plan all of the time. When the plan doesn't go as planned I find myself totally stressed out. I mean when I have a plan I have a plan and it is usually a ten year plan. So much so that my mom laughed when I told her I was getting a new job and I was going to work every other weekend and I had gone through the calendar and looked at what holidays and special events fell on which weekends and then chose to work the everyother weekend according to which had less holidays and events. Then when my brother decided to get MARRIED on the holiday weekend which I choose to work it messed up my whole plan and I was totally stressed out.

6-Most other girls can't live without all of there stuff right there in their purse at hand so they are prepared for whatever comes their way. I like to be prepared (goes with the planning), and I love to buy and have purses but I hate to carry one. I just feel like it is one more extra thing that I have to watch and carry and be responsible for (it is like having another child). So more often than not I leave it at home. I just pack my pockets full of whatever I need or rely on Chris to have everything I might need (therefore the reason so many people find it hard to reach me on my cell phone).

I am sure there are more but those are just the ones I could come up with right now. I am going to tag (I don't know how to make a link so I will fix this when I can figure out how).

Fun indoors...

So it is getting a little bit cooler outside. Too cold to go and swim but we still wanted to get out and play. We took the kids to an indoor waterpark. It was a lot of fun. It was too bad that the kids couldn't go on the big tube rides. I can't wait till Kaden is old enough. I think all the splashing water was scary to Kaden, but we still had a great time!

Happy Anniversary

Today is Chris and my third wedding anniversary. I just wanted Chris to know how much I love him and how I appreciate all that he does for our little family. He is such a loving husband and father. He really does everything he can for us and all he hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I am excited for tonight Chris got a recommendation on some of the cool places to eat here and we haven't really had a chance to get out without Kaden. Chris talked my brother Jeremy into watching Kaden so we could go o n a date. We haven't done that since we moved so I am so excited.

View from our balcony...

So lots of people have asked what it is like where we live. Our house isn't all that impressive so I haven't taken pictures I still have things to hang and unpack. However we love the area in which we live. It is beautiful so we have taken some pictures of that which Chris thought we should post. This is the view from our balcony, it is beautiful up here. We had to share the view we get to enjoy with you! Isn't it so pretty? My pictures really don't do it justice.

The duck pond...

Kaden loves the ducks we have taken him to the local duck pond a couple times. These ducks are funny they will eat the bread right out of your hands. Kaden and the twins had fun feeding the ducks. Kaden still makes me a little nervous he gets really close and I always think he might fall in.

My time saver...

Yes that is my armpit...I know this is probably the weirdest post ever! But I was just thinking the other day about how difficult it is to sometimes shower in the morning let alone put on makeup and do my hair with a toddler destroying the house, or laying in front of the bathroom door sobbing. So this past summer I worked doing laser hair removal. At first I thought why start treatments because I knew we would probably move for law school and if you don't have 5-8 treatments it doesn't get rid of the hair and why go through the pain if your not going to be totally hair free? But I decided to do this since each treatment thins the hair and destroys 10-30% of the hair follicles. I have loved it what a time saver. I had treatments done every 12 weeks, I think I only shaved once or twice during the entire summer from March to now and look at it, I can see follicles and a few hairs but still looks pretty good (I know I could use some lotion!). When Chris is done with school I have considered buying a laser and just doing it part time on family and friends as a second income, I don't know though I am not sure if I am the only one who loves being hair free I guess we will see what happens when that day comes. I may find that I need the extra time to keep our little toddlers from destroying our home...I don't know we'll see!?
So I have done most of my whole body but my head. I was telling Chris last night that I had a few fine hairs on my first digit of my finger that I would bite on when my finger itched or if I was stressed and it is weird when I go to do that and there is not hair (I know gross probably too much information, but don't we all do weird quarky things!!?)

Family Day...

So far I have been really impressed with the law school and how much they try to include and do activities with the families. They have had 3 BBQ's and one Picnic in the first two weeks. The did their first annual family day picnic which was fun. It was totally for the families and little kids. They had a blow up jump toy and games, popsicles a popcorn machine and PB&J's (other food of course for the adults). We had a good time.

Kaden thinks he is one of the big kids. So like the hat? I have wanted forever for Kaden to wear a hat I think they are so cute on little boys. He would never keep them on. Well the twins left them at our house. We had this in the car to return and he started saying hat and trying to put it on his head. When I tried to take it from him he would cry and cry. He has worn this most of the day. I guess he likes hats and we are going to have to find him the perfect hat.
Dad taught Kaden T-ball by the end of the picnic he was really getting it, he could hit the ball off of the T. Not very far but it was cute since the T was taller than he was. He wasn't sure what he thought of the bouncer toy...there were a lot of big kids in it however usually he loves being one of the big kids!
