Crazy week...

So I feel like I have been neglecting everything this past week, week and a half. And I have! My cute little grandfather passed away a couple weeks ago. It was expected but when it happened it was quick. I was sad that I wasn't able to see him one last time before he passed but felt grateful to be at his funeral and graveside memorial. It was nice to see my grandmother and spend time with her and all my cousins that I don't see very often. I flew to Arizona where the funeral was (that was fun I had a layover in SLC. Kaden found a friend and ran around and around, laughing hysterically pretty soon he was throwing up all over as they were boarding my flight...gross! But just my luck. He wasn't sick I think he just made himself so dizzy that he threw up).
My grandfather had chosen to be buried in the SLC cemetery so we made the drive from Mesa to Bountiful it took two days due to the weather, I was worried how Kaden would do but thanks to Buzz (toystory) and a couple new books we survived.
I thought I would post some pictures for all my cousins and family that weren't able to be at the graveside. It was a good service. The headstone to the left says it all...it was snowy and cold! My mom said my grandpa hated the snow and would have be rolling over in his grave if he knew how cold it was!
This was us in Arizona it was beautiful and warm! I didn't want to come back to Spokane because I had been spoiled with the sun all week. Kaden couldn't get enough of being outside and by the water. He would have gone swimming in his clothes if I would have let him it was so cold though.

It was fun to be home and see family. Thanks for everything mom and dad. I wish I could have seen more friends and family between all the traveling I felt like the trip just went too fast! It was fun though and also nice to be home.

Yes I am showing...

Sorry these pictures are hideous and yes I took them myself. Chris is never home and people are constantly asking are you showing yet? And the answer is yes. I am. I am now at the point where people can tell that I am pregnant and not just fat! I can however still fit in my jeans which I am grateful for. I wore normal jeans almost all the way through my pregnancy with Kaden because I carry a little higher and the jeans these day sit lower...thank goodness.

I hope you enjoyed my fat pictures! So in response to everyones questions I am showing the pictures prove it!

We are having...

DONUTS!!! For all of you who don't know my friend Amber she is also pregnant and due this spring. She had a cute idea...so sorry Amber we had to copy you. There was so much anticipation into finding out what we were having we had to associate it with food. We decided if we were having a girl we would go for ice cream and if we were having a boy we would go for donuts. So yes we are having a BOY!!!
Kaden is excited to be a big brother to a brother. He doesn't quite understand the whole baby thing but loves babies and will point ot my growing belly when he is asked where the baby is. Both Kaden and I have been sick so we brought our donuts home. That and after laying flat for an hour and a half not being able to breath, because I was so congested, I thought we would just take the donuts home.
I couldn't get to ultrasound pictures to scan so you get a picture of a picture which isn't very clear. Maybe when Chris is less busy I will have him figure it out. I wanted to post this one though because it is so cute and different than the ones I usually get. That is our little baby boys kissable lips and little nose. He already looks like he has my nose not Chris', don't you think?

My dinner date...

So I had to post this because I thought it was so so funny. It was one of those nights where you are trying to get dinner on the table and you have a little one pulling at your apron strings literally! Begging for dinner. Kaden hasn't quite learned the patience thing. So I quickly fixed him a hot dog and some veggies (a 20 month old won't eat ribs...right!?) So he was ravenous and had 3 and 4 pieces of hot dog in his mouth at a time. After I cleaned him up it was almost 7 PM usually Chris is home and tonight he wasn't. I was feeling bummed and thought I better eat the nice meal I made by myself because with the life of a law student you never know when you'll see them...or if they will have time to eat. SO I sat down feeling kind of sad to eat my meal alone.
This is what I see when I get up to find the salt and pepper mind you he's already eaten his own filling dinner. He is picking brocolli off of my plate. His little face kept getting closer and closer and closer. He is eyeing and coughing all over my plate. He finally says bite? I try everything on my plate as he is eyeing the ribs. How was I going to feed him the ribs?
So I turn to get some butter and look over and his face is literally on top of my plate and I see his little tounge licking the corner of my slab of ribs! I cut a bite off for him and pretty soon I am cutting as fast as I can while he is yelling meat, meat, meat!!!

So seeing as I couldn't cut the ribs fast enough he had watched mommy doing it so took matters into his own hands (literally!). The funniest part about it was he probably ate 4 or 5 of them and could get more meat off than I could. Every once and a while you would hear a mmmm! And I would see him pick up the same napkin I was using to wipe off his hands and face, he just thought he had entered adulthood. It was pretty comical for me and one of the most entertaining dates I have had in a while. Isn't it cute how fast they grow!

mmmmmmmmm!

Baby signing...

It is so cute Kaden has learned how to sing. He LOVES to watch baby signing time and signs and sings for it all day long. We watch that now more than BUZZ! (Toystory). I just think it is cute when he sings. I also have started taking Kaden to a mommy & me type singing group. I don't particularly love to sing and really can't sing but I find absolute joy in watching Kaden singing, dancing and cheering all during the class. It is so much fun. The lady who does it is the stake primary president and she is absolutely wonderful and talented. We sing different songs about different themes everyweek. This week was body parts last week was animals. It is just so much fun! She has lots of drums, triangles, morocca's and musical instruments. It is also teaching Kaden how to follow instructions. I will have to take pictures next time because it is really cute to watch...that is if I can get him to sit still long enough to take a picture!

Sorry this is my first time trying to post a video so it is kind of retarted I will get it though.

The sun will come out tommorow...

Yeah the sun came out today! For the past week we have been living in a state of constant fog where you don't see the sun all day long! Everyday I have told myself the sun will come out tommorow. Well it did today it was so nice I took Kaden on a walk. By the time we were home our fingers and toes were both bright red, so maybe it still needs to warm up some but at least the sun is out. The fog did have one cool thing a couple days it was called freezing fog where everything literally freezes. The roads don't appear slippery just wet, but they are slick. And the most beautiful thing is the trees they get this magical frost like coating were they are just like they have all been sprayed with christmas tree flocking. It looks like a winter wonderland everywhere you go without the fresh new layer of snow. It is really beautiful...I didn't take this picture but this is what freezing fog looks like, kind of.
